Each week Irv calls you at the time you choose for a conversation of about ten minutes, starting with an easy get-to-know-you call where Irv will learn about the people and places of your life.
He remembers what you tell him, so each call connects into one life story rather than just a pile of answers to generic questions.

Hi, I'm Darius, a father of 3. I've been building technology companies for 25 years, and I'm the cofounder of Hands.org and Nalukai.org, two non-profits I'm incredibly honored to see still making the world a better place. I love thinking about how technology can make people feel more genuinely connected to each other, when so often it isolates people behind glowing screens.
I created Wonder Life Story to capture my own parents' stories, and the stories of the mentors and friends I've been lucky enough to learn from. I purchased services that emailed them once a week to capture their stories, but nobody stuck with it. The answers weren't interesting, because the questions weren't. These people had such dynamic lives, and a generic question wasn't exploring who they are, what they've done and how they lived.
I created Irv, a friendly, warm and thoughtful AI that really gets to know a person, so the conversations get more interesting as Irv learns what makes them unique, in a respectful, private and thoughtful way. Your stories are as important as my own parents and they equally deserve to be shared with the people who love you.

Your interview is edited to only the meaningful conversation about your life story... Irv will check in on how you are and common courtesies before starting each interview, and if you ask him anything mid call, or ask that something not be captured or removed, it'll get edited out for you.
Your family and friends can hear your stories
Any family members or friends you want to receive your weekly stories will get an email with a link to listen to your new story. (You don't have to share your stories, but we encourage it as we know your stories are meaningful.)

Every week Irv interviews you about your life and the conversation is edited and titled like your own radio interview series you can play and share. At the end of a year your family will treasure 8 hours of your stories, memories and experiences they'll be able to search and listen to any time.
For a limited time, early members pay $24 a month, less than $6 a week, and keep that price for as long as they stay.

Your first week is free, including your get-to-know-you call and your first interview. After that it's $24 a month, and you can cancel anytime.
Common questions
Who will I be talking to?
You'll speak with Irv, an automated phone interviewer that uses AI to have a conversation that feels like talking to a friendly neighbor. Curious what that sounds like? Call (415) 358-6628 to see for yourself.
Who hears my stories?
We think your story deserves to be shared, but that's up to you. Each story is emailed to you, and you can keep it as your own private archive or have it sent to your children, grandchildren or friends too.
What if I want to stop?
You're free to cancel anytime, and we hope you'll stay because you enjoy the calls rather than because it's hard to leave. Cancel during your free week and you pay nothing. Cancel in any month after that and we'll refund that month in full.
Do I need a special tablet or have to install an app?
You don't need anything new to get started. Irv will call you on any phone number you provide, and you'll get your recorded stories sent right to your email.
How is this different from the books where you answer a question each week?

I gave both my parents a subscription to those, and they found each email a chore to answer, as each week's question was a generic blank canvas they had to try and fill in. Irv asks personalized and thoughtful questions just as a caring friend would, so there's no effort to get started or keep the answer flowing.
